RACQ Motorfest - Sunday 11 July 2010
The RACQ MotorFest 2010 will be held on Sunday 11 July 2010 at Eagle Farm Racecourse, Lancaster Road, Hamilton.
Gates should open at 10am and the event finishes at 3pm with a parade of all the cars.
General public entry is by donation to the RACQ Helicopter Rescue Network. On-site parking at the venue and Doomben Racecourse will be available for $5 per vehicle. A regular free shuttle bus will run between Doomben Racecourse and Eagle Farm.
This apparently is Brisbane's largest showcase of vintage, veteran, classic and special interest vehicles.
800 collectible cars will be on display, and a full menu of entertainment will be provided.
The 2CV Club of Queensland will also be entering a few cars.
Attractions and entertainment
In addition to the hundreds of spectacular vehicles on display, a full day of entertainment and activities including kid’s rides, face painting, the Mitsubishi Evo Simulators, wine and cheese tasting, fashion parades and more, is sure to appeal to the young and the young-at-heart.
Parking
Limited off road parking is available for $5 per vehicle in the venue’s car parks on Lancaster Road. Additional parking will be available at Doomben Racecourse for $5 per vehicle and a free park and ride service to the main entrance of the event will operate. Access to the Doomben car park is off Nudgee Road.
Disabled parking is available within the grounds of the Eagle Farm Racecourse. Access for disabled parking is via McGill Avenue only.
