2CV Drive to Mount Mee - Sunday 10 August 2008

Ten Queensland 2CVers went for a drive to Mount Mee on Sunday 10 August 2008. The idea was to plan a bit of a birthday bash in October for the 60th anniversary of the unveiling of the 2CV on the Paris Motor Show on 7 October 1948.

We assembled with eight of us at 10am in Samford, and of we went through Dayboro and on to Mount Mee State Forest.

Just great to see a waggle of Ugly Ducklings snake up the mountain roads.
Two Sunshine Coasters joined us at Mount Mee, and we just sat around in the beautiful forest and sunshine, and did what good Queenslanders do most of the time: next to nothing and enjoying it as it comes.

From the Mt Mee website: "A four-wheel-drive vehicle is recommended for accessing all areas of the park past The Gantry."
I would like to correct that: "... or a 2CV"!
We have driven all the way to the Neurum Creek camping ground with our 2CV; you should have seen the looks on the faces of the 4WD drivers!
